Two Ways In

There are two ways to enter the practice: a private session or a group immersion. Both begin the same way — with a conversation.

Private Session

ONE-ON-ONE IN THE WATER

One practitioner. One receiver. One body of warm water. This is where most people begin — a single session to feel what Janzu is before going deeper.

Duration: 60–90 minutes in the water, plus conversation before and integration after.

Rates and availability: Ask in your first message.

How to begin: Send an email. We’ll have a brief conversation first to make sure it’s a good fit.

Immersion

MULTI-DAY GROUP PRACTICE

A small group. Multiple days. A rhythm of water sessions, rest, reflection, and shared meals. The immersion format allows the practice to go deeper than a single session can — not through intensity, but through repetition and trust.

Group size: Small by design — never more than what presence allows.

Dates, length and rates: Ask, and you will be told as they take shape.

How to begin: Same as above — an email, then a conversation.

The Path

Most people arrive here through curiosity — a friend’s mention, a feeling near water, a search for something they can’t quite name. Here is how the path typically unfolds:

01

Discovery

You find us — through a friend, a flyer, or a quiet search. You read. Something resonates. You sit with it.

02

Conversation

You write to us. We respond. A brief exchange — not a sales call. We learn about you. You learn about the practice. We decide together if this is a good fit.

03

First Session

A private one-on-one session. Your first time in the water with a practitioner. No expectations. No performance. Just the beginning of a relationship with the practice.

04

Deepening

If the practice speaks to you, there are ways to continue — additional private sessions, a multi-day immersion, or ongoing practice. The pace is yours.

What an Immersion Looks Like

What follows is the framework of an immersion. Specifics are shared in conversation.

The Rhythm

Each day in an immersion follows a natural arc:

The schedule is held gently. There is space between sessions. Nothing is rushed.

The Setting

North Shore Kauaʻi. The specific venue details are shared after registration. What we can say: the water is warm, the setting is quiet, and the pace of the island becomes part of the practice.

Questions People Ask

Do I need experience with Janzu before attending an immersion? We recommend a private session first if possible, but immersions are open to newcomers who feel called. Write to us and we will help you decide.

Is this appropriate for someone with [condition]? We are not medical providers. If you have specific physical conditions, mention them in your first email and we will discuss whether the practice is appropriate. We will always err on the side of honesty over accommodation.

Can I come alone? Yes. Most people do.

What if I’m not comfortable in water? That’s worth a conversation. Some discomfort is normal. Fear is different. Write to us and we’ll talk it through.

What is your cancellation policy? Discussed individually when you register. We are flexible and fair — life on the island teaches that.

A Note on Pace

We do not optimize for volume. There is no urgency. No countdown timer. No “only 3 spots left” pressure.

If the timing is right, you will know. If it isn’t, the water will still be here.
